Our Story
It all began with a mutual swipe right on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018. Our back and forth messages flowed effortlessly from the beginning, and we both knew there was the potential for something really special between us. We planned our very first date for the 30th of that month over ramen, the sloppiest meal ever, and then ducked into a local bar for a drink and the Giants game. The date ended and Jackie proceeded to scream in her car like a teenage girl with a huge crush.
Date 1 turned into date 2 and then 3 where they had their first kiss outside of The Velvet Lounge. As they grew closer, the days, weeks, and months went by and they officially became a couple on February 18th, 2019 while out with friends at Riverhead Ciderhouse… not without a little prodding thanks to the help of Jackie’s liquid courage ;). That shared year became one of the best of both their lives, and in October, Andrew asked Jackie to move in with him.
Fast forward two and a half more years to another apartment, countless competitive Nintendo battles, cooking new meals together, adventures, a worldwide pandemic, traveling, endless amounts of car singalongs, inside jokes and a zillion laughing fits later, Andrew proposed on November 14th, 2021 during a romantic stroll through a local arboretum along the water. Naturally, Jackie cried a lot, even if she did a full face of makeup that day JUST in case.
One of the most beautiful things about true love is the gradual blending of each other’s families and friendships, and we feel so lucky that we no longer feel the need to differentiate between the two. Regardless, we’re ecstatic to make it official and take each other’s hand in marriage.
